An excellent place with a right expectation. The website sets your expectations right and Mr Bob clarified all our doubts before booking. Great place if you like to have family time in a serene place. Very helpful host who make you feel at home. Food was great for the money they charge. The entire place was purposely build to give that old look with basic amenities inside the cottage. The place and the people will make you feel like you are visiting your own farm house for a holiday. An original place in the middle of nature.

This one’s very budget friendly resort. Their hospitality deserves much appreciation. They only have Non-A/C cottages. The food served was pretty decent. The only problem is that the area lacks major network coverage and the wifi provided is only available near the restaurant area!

Silver Oaks is an excellent place to stay if you are looking for a budget family stay in Coorg. The property has a decent pool & small boating facility. The host Mr. Bob is really helpful & nice guy. I have stayed in this place for my last 3 visits to Coorg.

If you want a calm, quiet, peaceful place to spend your holidays away from the madness and noise within reasonable budget, this is a perfect location at Coorg. The resort is covered with lush greenery adjacent to a small duck pond, which you can enjoy sitting in the balcony with a sip of a drink of your choice. If you want to explore Coorg, arrangements can be made as per your convenience and budget though the rate is fixed and competitive. They will give you options to choose sightseeing places and you can visit as per your choice. Else you can enjoy staying at the resort and enjoy it’s swimming pool, small gym, carrom/ table tennis and more. You can take cycle from them and explore local sightseeing places if you wish. Important Information: How to get there: From Mysore: You can ride KSRTC buses from Mysore bus stand and should get down at GONIKOPPAL. From Gonikoppal take an auto to reach Silver Oak Resort at Rs. 150/- (approx. 10 kms). From Mysore to Gonikoppal it will take approx. 3 hours to reach. Ticket price is Rs. 90 per head. You can hire a cab from Mysore and reach Silver Oak Resort at 2.5 hours. It will cost you approx. Rs. 2200/- for small cab (viz. Tata Indica). From Bengaluru: You can ride KSRTC/ private buses from Bengaluru and reach GONIKOPPAL. From Gonikoppal take an auto to reach Silver Oak Resort at Rs. 150/- (approx. 10 kms.). From Bengaluru to Gonikoppal it will take approx. 5.5 hours to reach. Ticket price varies from Rs. 215 to Rs. 500. Please check online for timing/ price. You can hire a cab from Bengaluru and reach Silver Oak Resort at 4.5 hours. It will cost you approx. Rs. 6000/- to and from. Cottage Tariff & Fooding: The cottage rent is Rs. 2500/- for two adults and one child (up to 5 years) per night which includes breakfast as well. The room consists of one big bed, one sofa, table, two single beds, TV and fan. The balcony is a good time pass for nature lovers. For lunch and dinner, you have to tell your preference of veg/ non veg and they will prepare accordingly. The lunch and dinner are served in buffet which cost Rs. 200/- per head. Sightseeing: By car, by trek, by walk/ cycling as per choice. If you hire a car, you can see 4-5 places max in a day at a cost Rs. 2000/- approx. for small cab. Good stay with reasonable price. Food was okay. it can be little better. Could see little frogs in washroom. It takes long time to reach the place as it is away from main city. Travel tiredness will run away after seeing the pleasant place.
